Beauty Defined.

What you believe about yourself shapes your self-esteem. Are you beautiful? If it's difficult to answer that question maybe you're looking in the wrong places for the answer.

"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised"

-Proverbs 31

As women we are constantly being scrutinized - ad campaigns encourage us to "finally get rid of the excess fat", or point out that it's time to "do something about that boring hair" or the constant taunting of female celebrities in magazines. It's hard not to look outward when society places so much value on the skin we're in.

But what does the creator of the the universe think about beauty?

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God’s sight
— 1 PETER 3

The skin we wear is fleeting. Although I love a good anti wrinkle cream as much as the next girl, it's important to know that your value doesn't come from trying to keep up with societies "current" definition of beautiful. Create your own, or take a hint from God and find your beauty within. It's easy to list off your accomplishments, awards, titles that you've earned, birth order, credit score but those things are often time fleeting descriptors. Who God created you to be is solid, never changing, and able to withstand the ups and downs of life. You maybe married today and divorced tomorrow but how God sees you is fixed forever. God is unchanging and He created you to love God and love others.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

-Mark 12

Ask yourself, did you want this before it was presented to you?

Before social media made lip filler the newest aesthetic procedure how unsatisfied were you with your lips? If the answer if anything less than very unhappy and looking for a solution than you don’t need lip filler. Don’t be deceived into thinking your lips are in need of augmentation.
