Your co workers my describe you as understanding while your romantic partner may perceive you as forgiving. The way you do one thing is the way you do everything. So if you are waiting for a great romantic partner to turn on your love switch, you’ve go it all wrong.

How Do You Receive Love?
I’m not talking about the well known love languages. Which describe 5 general ways in which people perceive love and naturally tend to give love.
No I am referring to actually allowing yourself to receive the acts of love directed toward you. Now we are all uniquly made and it is your responsibility to communicate with the people you love about your wants and needs. It maybe that your romantic partner shows love in a way that doesn’t resinate with you. Tell them. If they are invested in your well being they will work to meet your needs.

Try This Visualization Exercise.
Take two deep breaths. Relax your shoulders. Now read this two times and then close your eyes and create the vision.
Image yourself with this great love. You’ve just had a hard day and they desire to help sooth you. What would they say? What actions would they do, that would help you to feel better in this moment?
Now imagine yourself receiving. Melting into the energy they are exuding. See yourself soften. Lean into the comfort and care they are providing. See your inhibitions, insecurities melt and just be. Rest in this love. Receive.

Start Today
Don’t wait for romantic love to show up before you turn on your loving switch. There are plenty of people in your world now who would use some of the love you’re not giving. Open yourself up to reiceive. This requires vulnerability. It requires letting other people in and allowing them the opportunity to love.
