Best Vitamins For Women
WHEN GREEN JUICE ISN’T ENOUGH.
Vitamins are micronutrients essential for your body to perform. They cannot be created by the human body so you have to ingest them in your diet to maintain good health and prevent disease. The exception to this rule is Vitamin D which is created in your skin after sun exposure. Vitamins are different from minerals like Iron and Calcium, which we will discuss in a later post.
MAKE IT OBVIOUS
James Clear in his famous book, Atomic Habits, talks about how environment plays a huge role in being consistent with habits. Place your vitamins in an area where you will see them on a daily basis. This maybe in your kitchen next to your fruit bowl or coffee machine. Most of these vitamins need to be taken with food so I suggest you keep them in your kitchen where you will be sure to see them as you make your daily meals.
THESE ARE THE VITAMINS YOU NEED.
VITAMIN A AND C
Nutritional antioxidants the most common being vitamin A and C . These can be found in foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and wines. Yes you can drink your antioxidants on a Friday night out with friends. It is proposed that antioxidants can help the body prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer by helping to eliminated toxic free radicals. Free radicals. Free radicals are like reckless fire starts that start small fires that can eventually become big problems, like cancer. Vitamin C has minor role in reducing the duration of cold symptoms in adults.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN ONE
VITAMIN D
You getting enough D? No, not that D, I'm talking about Vitamin D. It is not just a micronutrient there is evidence that it also acts like a hormone. Hormones play a big role in regulating mood. Most of you have probably already experienced that. Why is this important? During the fall/winter months we generally get less sun exposure. The body generates vitamin D after UV rays hit your skin. Less Sun = Less D. So this fall winter talk to your doctor about supplementing with vitamin D. Its really easy I’ve linked my favorite multiple vitamin with all the micronutrients mentioned here above.
ZINC
Zinc has been shown to provide some benefit when it comes to helping your immune system fight off bacteria and viruses (think common cold). Zinc has also been shown in small studies to help decrease acne breakouts. Zinc has anti inflammatory properties that helps your body reduce swelling and redness.
